BEST BEEF STEW RECIPE
March 2nd, 2009Ingredients:
2 lbs. beef sirloin or round, cut in cubes
4 medium potatoes, cut in cubes
3 carrots, cut in 1/2-inch slices
2 cups sliced celery
1 package frozen onions, about 10 ounces
1 slice white bread, torn into small pieces
1 (14.5 ounce) can whole tomatoes with juice
2 tablespoons dried minced onion
3 tbsp. quick cooking tapioca
2 teaspoons sugar
1 can (10 1/2 ounces) condensed tomato soup
salt to taste
pepper to taste
Preparation:
Place all ingredients in a 4 to 6-quart slow cooker.
Cover and cook on LOW for 7 to 9 hours.
Do not stir.
6 to 8 servings.
